Focus Groups

The Blount Chamber has two focus groups that meet throughout the year. Network with like-minded professional who share a common interest. Work together with fellow pros to improve your profession or processes.

Human Resource Focus Group

The Chamber’s Human Resource Focus Group identifies topics of interest for the human resource specialist or for those responsible for hiring. The group keeps Chamber members up-to-date on the most current employment issues. Howard Jackson from Wimberly Lawson Seale Wright & Daves, PLLC and Joe Daughtery from Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz co-chair the committee and bring their expertise on HR issues as well as guest speakers to discuss topics such as:

  • Worker’s Compensation
  • Employee Benefit Updates
  • Workplace Privacy Issues
  • Employee Handbook Writing
  • Employee Retention, Turnover and Recruiting

The HR Focus Group meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month (excluding July and December). They meet at 7:45 a.m. at the Chamber building. Visit Blount Chamber Calendar for next meeting.
